MTB Championships 2004 Held @ Checkendon Sun 17th October It was a good turn out this year for our championships. Special thanks goes to all that helped, setting out the course and clearing up the tape, marshalling, judging, front and rear riders, supplying teas, coffee's, soup and bacon rolls. All this help within the club makes us successful and all our jobs a lot easier. Many thanks again. Although I missed the Parents race (what a shame), I'm sure that the results would have been much different had Trevor , Keith and myself participated. I know that Guy would not have been behind me. Alex has been disqualified as he has no children in the club and he was under the age of 35. He used to be one of the founder members many years ago, his bike handling skills are second to none. I can remember when he used to ride his bike in the stadium, but not on the track very much, but up and down the steps of the stadium. The parents course was a difficult one I believe, most of them came back puffing and panting. They completed one lap of the under 8's course. One little U8 has asked me to increase the distance, as she thought it too short and easy. Then I'm told that the parents chose this course so that none of them could be lapped. I think more training must be compulsory for them. Results
