Mountain Biking
 |
Part of Palmer Park Club
Championship includes
Mountain Biking skills.
Once a month on a Sunday
morning there is a
training session held by
Neil McAllister at
Swinley Forest (The
Lookout). These events
are fantastic fun and
children of all ages and
abilities are very
welcome. Parents are
also encouraged to come
and join in. The session
starts normally at 09:45
and finishes around
12:00. After the session
parents get to chat and
have something to eat
and drink (There is an
on site cafe) while the
children, who still with
endless energy play in
the park close by. It is
a very nice way to start
a Sunday. |
As well as riding the
trails around the lovely
Swinley Forest, Neil
includes teaching new
specific mountain bike
skills, this can include
a twisty trail or
learning to ride a drop
off safely and
controlled. The pace of
these rides are kept
within the ability of
the riders in the group.
No one gets left behind!
